Food and Video Games

Filed under: Uncategorized — ononehand @ 5:00 pm

You know what doesn’t get enough credit? Scrambled eggs with hot sauce. (Mmmmmmmm…. economical.) It’s the ideal college food if you have a stove. (That, and bananas. Thirty six cents a pound, folks! Which is why I eat like three a day after all the black beans and baked potatoes. And no, the bananas don’t give me any digestive problems.)

As I have said before, you all know I don’t do video games because they fuck with my head, but I had to make an exception for one. I found the Anti-Bush Video Game to be really fun, it’s very educational in a sarcastic, witty way, and I actually sat through the whole thing until I won. And yes, as all video games do, it fucked with my head and I had to go outside in the sun to kind of clear myself when I stopped playing. Ugh. I’m still a little nauseous but that might have been aggravated by doing push ups right after eating four scrambled eggs. But at least I beat the game.

  3. OMG I LOVE YOU! hot sauce makes everything delcious. And you buy everything my poor college art student ass buys. Baked potatoes and bananas are amazing for college students! I also like to utilize soy sauce and chunky peanut butter on different things. And actually there’s a tasty sauce (if you like thai stuff) made from soy, chili sauce, and pb. Its great on noodles, especially cold!

    • Yeah I eat lots of peanut butter. A jar of peanut butter seems relatively expensive, but if you look at cost per calorie it’s great stuff; peanut butter is a very dense food. I eat it with a spoon.

      And yay for geminis.

  4. Damn! I lost at the video game 3 times now!

I guess I better hone my motor skills a little more and put down the beer. No way those freaky pig-looking dudes are going to take me down a 4th time!

    • Well if you lose it lets you keep going if you click “continue,” and gives you all your lives/characters back. My advice is to save the [enter] key for when you’re fighting a boss, in which case the special attack costs your opponent(s) each 50 points. But that’s just what’s best for me. You probably beat the game by now anyway.
