Don’t Fuck With Hepatitis

Filed under: Uncategorized — ononehand @ 12:51 am

I haven’t been updating lately because I’ve been pretty sick, with a fever that’s been going on for over two weeks. I guess that since I’ve been sort of depressed, since I haven’t been sleeping very much, since I’ve been stressed out, since I’ve been drinking and partying a lot, and since I have a new boyfriend to expose me to all of the cold and flu viruses he’s developed a resistance to, I’ve been asking for it. I’ve been tested for several things, and at this point there is a good chance that I have either hepatitis A (the kind you get from fast food) or an unusually bad case of mono. Don’t worry about me; the fever peaked a couple of days ago and within two more weeks I should probably be fine.

I’m learning a lot from this, such as the locations of all the lymph nodes on my body and what they look like when they swell up to 5 times their original size, what kind of needles are best for drawing my blood (a butterfly needle works best), what secondary bacterial infections are most common alongside bad viral infections, how to guess my temperature without a thermometer based on how sore my joints are, and that if you think you have the flu and then suddenly your urine turns red, you need to get a hepatitis test. I’m also re-learning how to get along with my family, since I’m back at home for the time being. We will see how that turns out.

  5. I got mono within 2 weeks of dating my first boyfriend (from him). It was a nasty way to start a relationship… I ended up missing two weeks of school.

You’re not alone on this one. Feel better.

  6. Hi… hope you are feeling better. I found an anthology that you might want to try writing for. Looks cool and it pays well. If you need any help (feedback or explaining anything) just ask.

    Boy Sex
    Edited by Alexander Rowlson

There are many ways one can submit to some good, old- fashioned boy sex: steamy sessions in school bathrooms, turning tricks in trashy gay bars, or games of Dungeons & Dragons turning into dungeons and drag queens are but a few of the possibilities. Now it’s time to put your money where your mouth is, or more precisely, to get some money from telling me where you put your mouth. I’m looking for submissions for an anthology of erotic stories to be published by Carroll & Graf about the many faceted experience of boy sex.

The other purpose of this collection is to serve as an exhibition of up-and-coming queer authors, with all contributors being under the age of 30. I want the collection to be as diverse and representational as possible with topics ranging from the stereotypical Daddy/Boy relationship to tranny boi love trysts. No subject is taboo, as long as it gets me hard in both mind and body.

Entries should be between 2000 – 5000 words, but that’s not to say that shorter or longer pieces won’t be considered; I’m not a size queen. Pieces can be fiction or non-fiction. Any style is acceptable from personal essays to lyrical prose and short stories, as long as they are both lascivious and literary.

The deadline is September 1st, 2005. Please forward any questions and manuscripts (as an attachment, MS Word preferred) to boysexanthology@hotmail.com

    • Thanks so much! That deadline seems far off enough: summer will offer much free time for working.

I’m sorry for asking you so many questions, but I have one for you. If I’m going to write erotic fiction, I’d like to write under an allias. It’s not that I think no one would figure it out; obviously the publisher would know, but I just don’t want the connection to be too obvious. Do you know how easy or hard it is to do that?

      • No need to apologize for asking – I’m here to help.

It’s actually really easy to write under a pseudonym. All you need to do, while submitting is on the manuscript’s first page have your real name and address be at the top and under the title it would read

        By Alias Name

We’ll talk more about manuscript format when you are finished. But have no worries.
