Quarter-Life Crisis

Filed under: Uncategorized — ononehand @ 4:58 pm

I need a project!
Instead of so much wasting time.
Some writers, web designers, photographers, filmmakers, artists, somebody get with me, and we’ll do something
I need to work with someone, to do something cool, and I will be the writer, the smooth conversationist, the ambassador to the business world, to the authorites, to the press, to whatever, becuase I am a key communicator, a liason. I am a smooth talker and I know how to get people in the boat. I am savy.
It will be a magazine we will start together, or a website. Something professional, like that. We will have creative workshops and cool business cards. Because I need to do something with my time!

by the time I am 21 years old, which begins May 21
I hearby resolve
I will be 1) published in a professional or literary magazine
or 2) photographed nude somewhere
or 3) doing a fucking PROJECT!

  1. I seem to recall VelvetMafia.com is looking for stories by young gay men.

    • Yes, I do remember them, but nothing I write ends up gay-themed.

  4. Possibly…

I play guitar and I havne’t played with someone for a very very long time now. As a matter of fact, it’s been long enough that it’s making me really anxious to play more. If music is a project you’d be interested in, I’d be totally down for that.

      Do you have recording equipment?

I mean, yeah, I’m totally down whether you do or not, but that would help, since that’s what constitutes project, you know; a product.

Uh… short answer yes. Long answer yes, but…
I have a piece of equipment that would let us record onto tape, but it only has 4 tracks. It’s relativley nice equipent, but it’s the cheaper of the products they sell. Another thing is that I got it assuming it would be something I’d use right away, and then life kind of took me away from that direction for a while. So we’d have to figure out how to use it, since I have never actually set it up and recorded on it. But I guess learning how to use it would just be part of the fun. So yeah, I have a piece of recording equipment and using it would be part of the project.

So do you want to do the music thing or not? Either way is fine for me. I don’t want to push you into it, but if you’re up for it, I’d really like to start making music again. Just let me know.

Yeah I’m all for it. Sorry I’ve taken a while to get back to you, I don’t mean to ignore it, I’m just really busy. I have a lot going on. I don’t see any free time in the near future but I’ll let you know in a few days what is going on.

Yeah, it’s all good. I’m going to be in Portland all weekend and then have some catch up homework and work to do, so take your time.
