Voter Disenfranchisement Update III

Filed under: Uncategorized — ononehand @ 10:44 pm

In the State of Colorado, over 35,000 people were purged from voter registration rolls in a three-week period after June 21. That was just in time – it is against federal law to strike anyone’s registration records within 90 days of an election unless they die or notify the state that they have moved to another state. But there is evidence that further purges are taking place within the 90-day window in Colorado and several other swing states.

MSNBC reports: “In Colorado, some 37,000 people were removed from the rolls in the three weeks after July 21. During that time, about 5,100 people moved out of the state and about 2,400 died, according to postal data and death records.”

We already know Secretary of State Mike Coffman has stated plans to purge the registrations of other voters because they filled out their forms incorrectly.

Similar violations are taking place in six other swing states and several Republican states. Read the MSNBC.com article here.
